Happy mother's day
Happy mother's day to my mother & mother in law and every mother in the world. I know raising 3 kids isn't easy but I am glad my parents decided to have us three. I love the idea of having siblings.. the weddings, proms, all the silly fights, memories, love, most importantly i get to learn not to live just for myself but also for others.. i grew up with 2 sisters, we pretty much shared everything we had growing up together.. i had to share my toys, my dresses, my stuffs, my foods, my desserts.. they say having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of, it's true.. we fight, we make up.. we argue, we apologize.. we look after each other, appreciate each other's company, I know we'll always have each other, support each other and rely on each other when my parents aren't around anymore. when i was home my mom told me "being a parent is hard but it's also rewarding.. it's sad seeing your kids growing up but it's also a joy seeing what your kids have become"
tim always say he could see my mother in me.. my mother is quite a character (i'm pretty sure if you know me personally, you'd think i am too).. Tim spent a few days with my family when they were here and i remember he told me "now i understand why you're like this" haha.. my mother.. hmmm she is funny, she is loving, she is kind, she shows me unconditional love, she prioritizes her children over herself, she works hard, she cares about other people.. i am so proud to call her my mother :)
and my other mother... my mother in law.. if there was a woman that embodied all the attributes spoken of in proverbs 31, it would be Connie, my mother in law.. she cooks, she sews, she loves to laugh, she bakes, she brings foods and smiles to the needy, she is encouraging and kind, she's quick to listen and chooses her word wisely when she speaks.. and most of all.. she loves her children, her husband and her God.. i am encouraged and inspired by her on a daily basis.. I couldn't be more happier and thankful for my mother and mother in law. they both have such an important role in my life and on this very special day, i just want to tell them thank you & love you.. hugs!
at times.. tim and i will get into a random conversation like if we want our kids to go to bible school after high school, if we are going to pay for their collage, if they are going to christian school or public school..there are so many things to consider when having kids but again... as a christian parents, what is my ultimate goal for my children? to raise them to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and for them to get to heaven..
i have always been a fan of motherhood, i can imagine myself being a mother, having kids (esp after I've been told tim & i will make cute babies!!) and if you're wondering... no, i'm not pregnant, not yet.. tim and i aren't ready yet, not right now.. maybe tomorrow, maybe next week, maybe next year, we don't know but i am waiting, waiting for that call..
Happy mother's day :)
